Myeloma UK

Okay, last post of the day. This blog is already addictive! This is just a snippet of what everyone can do to try and raise awareness of Myeloma as, like the website says, it can be pretty hard to spot! Dad was diagnosed last February after back pain for a sustained period of time, generally feeling under the weather and also if he cut himself it took a long time to heal. Of course, these symptoms could easily be mistaken for flu, or a simple paper cut! However, Dad happened to have a broken back due to the myeloma weakening his bones. So obviously the earlier that symptoms can be linked to Myeloma, the better! It's unfortunate that a lot of people simply wouldn't know the symptoms or connect it to this particular disease.Myeloma UK are trying to raise awareness of the 'Take 2 campaign' highlighting the importance of early diagnosis. Here's the link: http://www.myeloma.org.uk/get-involved/awareness-and-campaigns/the-take-2-campaign/
If you get a chance to have a look, that would be fantastic. Bye for now! :)
